I think some people just blog for different reasons, some are more business minded and like the idea of community and e-partnerships and some are protective of their art and takr their blog space quite personally and I don;t think there is anything wrong with either of these views. Modish has their "collabo" series and I found it inspiring http://www.modishblog.com/modish/2009/05/collabo-shanna-murray-pistachio-press.html, I've also enjoyed other guest bloggers post on sites like simplesong, http://simplesong.typepad.com/ I guess it just depends on the individuals involved.
